Sri Lankan Potato Curry


  • 4 medium potatoes
  • Curry leaves
  • Pandan leaf
  • Finely chopped 3 cloves of garlic
  • Finely chopped ½ onion
  • Sliced 2 0r 3 green chilies
  • 1 teaspoon curry powder
  • ½ teaspoon turmeric powder
  • Salt to taste
  • 1/2 Teaspoon Fenugreek
  • 1 ½ cup coconut milk


  • Wash the potatoes with clean water, boil them. Then remove the outer skin of potatoes and cut them in to pieces.
  • Take another cooking pot and add all the other ingredients along with coconut milk and cook in medium heat until the coconut milk get bubbles.( stir the coconut milk to avoid coconut milk lumps)
  • After that add boiled potatoes in to the pot and let them cook for another 2 or 3 minutes.
  • Now it is ready to serve.
